HELP ON USING THIS TRAIL

The trail can be used on a laptop/desktop or mobile phone/tablet. Each page has a narrator which reads out the text on the page.

Using the Trail on a Laptop/Desktop is more interactive than using it on a mobile/tablet, because of the mouse function which mobiles do not have. The mouse hover function allows you to place your mouse over a hotspot to reveal information, on a mobile you will need to click on the hotspot to see the same information.

The trail uses video clips to assist you in navigating between locations, it also highlights Listed Buildings on the route. Playing video clips on a mobile can use up a lot of your data allowance and can be expensive, if you wish to skip the video clip, select next at the bottom of the page.

Each section has a narrator if you want to mute the narrator, press the pause button, on the clip that is playing. When a page is opened, the first audio clip begins to play. Clicking on another audio clip, mutes any playing audio clip.

On each page, when navigating to the next location, you are provided with 2 options in addition to reading the text.

Option 1 - You can listen to the text, this will also allow you to read the text.

Option 2 - Watch a video clip of a walk between each location. Has a mix of speeded up walking, real-time and a narrator.
